Detailer Partner Terms
Independent Contractor Status
Detailers who use Detail Relay are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, franchisees, or joint venturers of Detail Relay. Detailers control their own tools, supplies, methods, business operations, and tax obligations, subject to platform rules and customer commitments accepted through the platform.
Eligibility, Insurance, and Profile Accuracy
Detailers must provide accurate identity, business, service area, availability, insurance, and profile information. Detail Relay may require proof of commercial insurance, garage keepers or similar coverage, licensing information, background or business review, and other documentation before approving or continuing platform access.
Accepted Jobs
Once a detailer accepts or is assigned a job through Detail Relay, the detailer is expected to arrive on time, perform the booked scope professionally, communicate through approved platform channels, document the job as required, and follow all customer-approved instructions and platform rules.
Price Adjustments and Scope
Detailers may not perform additional paid work without customer approval through the platform. If the vehicle condition or requested scope differs from the booking, the detailer must request a price adjustment or support review before performing additional chargeable work.
Customer Relationships and Off-Platform Work
Detailers may not solicit Detail Relay customers for off-platform work, request cash or outside payment for platform bookings, share personal contact information to bypass the platform, or move Detail Relay customer relationships outside the platform without written permission from Detail Relay.
Payouts
Detailer payouts are calculated and released according to Detail Relay payout rules, payment processor status, customer payment status, completion status, dispute status, refunds, chargebacks, tips, and any applicable platform fees. Payout timing may vary based on processor availability, banking holidays, verification requirements, and risk review.
Suspension or Removal
Detail Relay may limit, pause, suspend, or remove detailer access because of safety concerns, customer complaints, low quality, missed jobs, late cancellations, insurance issues, payment risk, fraud concerns, off-platform solicitation, policy violations, or conduct that harms customers, detailers, or Detail Relay.
